In 1996 MAES expanded its activities from Energy Sector to Water Resources, Telecommunications and IT Sectors. MAES staff has since been involved either as design consultants’ or as implementation supervisors to the client or to the contractor. Most of country’s mega projects of power generation, distribution and telecommunications have or had involvement of MAES in one form or the other. MAES has also developed a strong expertise in tendering and procurement procedures, contract management and contract interpretation.
MAES had and still working with several international consulting firms of repute, like K&M Engineering, USA, Scott Wilson Piesold of UK, Sogrea of France, Gibbs & Hill of USA and others. Locally, MAES also has good working joint venture partnerships with ACE, NESPAK, Techred and others. The Company has worked with all of these firms on several projects funded by World Bank, Asian Development Bank, USAID, OECF and Government of Pakistan.
MAES is also involved in transmission line projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as partners of Al-Jazirah Engineers & Consultants. Our staff is providing services to Saudi Electric Company (SEC) in planning, designing and implementation supervision.
In the field of Telecommunications MAES has developed expertise especially in the area of Rural Telecommunications. Both major rural telecom projects of Pakistan, one in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and other in the Northern Areas of Pakistan were planned, designed and executed by MAES as Consultants to Special Communications Organization. MAES also have Optical Fiber Cable Network expertise. MAES is also involved in some IT projects with US based clients.
